I do not recommend Cathy Cardozo for divorce representation. Throughout my divorce process, she appeared unprepared and failed to accurately communicate my concerns, requests, and priorities to my ex-spouse’s attorney, as well as properly relay their responses back to me. She also did not proactively monitor or follow up on required document deadlines, which resulted in unnecessary delays throughout the proceedings. My divorce was remanded on three separate occasions due to errors on her part, yet she never contacted me by phone, email, or text to explain what had happened. In every instance, I discovered the issues myself by following up directly with the Prothonotary’s Office, and I was the one who then informed her of the remand status. Despite my repeated requests for clarification, I was never provided with meaningful explanations for the delays or mistakes. During an already emotionally difficult and traumatic process, I felt abandoned, unsupported, and left vulnerable.
